Delores Ludwick became interested in Young Living following a conversation with a friend who told her she had recently begun playing golf again. Delores reported, “I was visiting with a friend, and she said that after being unable to play golf for some time due to wrist problems, she could now play. I asked her what had happened and she said she was using several Young Living products and then told me about Gary Young.” Delores was so impressed that she asked her friend to give her the Young Living phone number.
“I told my friend I was not interested in starting a business but I would like to have whatever she was using. My friend told me to buy an Essential 7 kit, which I did.” Delores started using the oils and was very impressed by the therapeutic-grade quality. She had tried different brands of essential oils before, but she had never experienced therapeutic-grade essential oils until she tried Young Living essential oils. Delores stated, “All the other oils I had tried before had been disappointing. I am a skeptic and I do not accept anything until I can prove it. I have used Young Living essential oils and know that they work.” Delores was extremely impressed when she used the oils after a cooking accident on Easter.
Delores believes in the saying that knowledge is power.
She admitted, “I have spent a lot of time in my life collecting knowledge. I love to learn new things. I have always continued to learn and improve my education. I think we can always be learning and progressing. I have studied under some of the leading people in alternative health.”
Enjoying her Young Living products, Delores was still not interested in building a business. Then she received a phone call from Richard Dastrup, a Young Living Gold. Delores remembered, “Richard called me and gave me an overview of Young Living and Gary Young’s vision for the company. Shortly after our conversation, I received a big packet in the mail.” Delores said that she had been in network marketing for many years, so she often receives mailings from different companies. She noted, “I put it aside and did not open it. Finally, my husband asked me what I was going to do with it, so I opened it.” She discovered that it was an informational packet on Young Living. Delores said, “I liked what I read. So I did some research. Then I called Richard with all my questions. He invited me to fly out to Utah with my husband to learn more.”
“It was a very interesting trip,” recalled Delores. Since this first trip, she has had the opportunity to visit the Young Living Farm in Mona, Utah two more times. She said, “I love my visits to the Young Living Farm. When you see the care and science that goes into the distillation, you can begin to understand why our essential oils are different. People like to use the cheapest oils. They must understand that therapeutic-grade essential oils are the only ones that work.”
“My personal success formula is to use the oils and then share my personal stories and the stories of others. Also, I make myself available for people. I am always accessible,” said Delores. “Young Living essential oils do work. There are so many great testimonies. I have seen many wonderful benefits from using Young Living products. The quality of all Young Living products is exceptional.” Speaking about her reputation, Delores stated, “I go with what works. People know that I talk from experience. They can trust me because they know that I check things out very thoroughly.”
Delores has had many great experiences helping people discover the value of Young Living essential oils. She said, “With all my education, I have found that your body will talk to you if you know how to listen to it. Your body will tell you what you can do to take care of yourself. It would be wonderful if people in the world today learned how to take care of themselves. If you learn to listen to your body, you will know more than anyone else what will help you. You will be guided.”
Realizing that building a business is a way to reach more people, Delores insisted, “There is no limit to what you can accomplish in Young Living. You can go as far as you desire to go.
