Why Young Living: The Oils helped my daughter’s ear infections
Success Formula: Stay active and share with everyone

Susie_Bagwell Susie Bagwell joined Young Living after an essential oil experience with her baby daughter. “My newborn daughter had problems with frequent infections in her ears,” said Susie. “When she was six months old, she cried all night with a severe ear infection. None of us were getting any sleep.” Luckily, Susie had a friend who offered a suggestion. “A girlfriend told me about Young Living essential oils.”

Susie was skeptical about essential oils at first, but she had become very displeased with the poor results she experienced with traditional methods. “I was so disappointed with traditional methods that I decided to give essential oils a try. I started by using Melrose, Lavender and Purification essential oils on my daughter. I was amazed by the very fast and powerful effect they had.”

Susie decided to take her daughter back to the doctor just to be sure the ear infection was gone. “When my daughter was well, I thought I had better take her to the doctor for a checkup just to be sure everything was all right.” She said, “The doctor asked me what I was doing to make my daughter well. A little hesitantly, I told her I was using essential oils.”

Expecting a negative response, Susie was surprised when the doctor told her that essential oils are commonly used in Europe. “I was so surprised to hear a medical doctor who not only knew about essential oils, but approved of their use.”

Susie’s daughter is four years old now and feeling great. “I hardly ever take my kids to doctors anymore because the oils work so well for them.” The success formula that Susie shares with everyone is her belief that no one needs to suffer. She said, “I do not want anyone to be uncomfortable. Everyone needs to know about the oils.”

Two years passed before Susie thought about building a business based on her belief in Young Living essential oils. She said she figured that as long as she was going to spend time educating people about the oils, she might as well work it as a business. She said, “We drove three days straight to attend our first Young Living Convention. It was worth it. Attending Convention provided the fire that got me going. I bought a reference book and read it on the way home. When I got home, with my husband’s help, I set up a Web site.” Susie adds, “My husband has been extremely supportive. It is so important to have support from your spouse.”

Her advice to new distributors is to “just go for it. Once you find your passion, you just need to share.” Susie said, “Use the information Young Living provides to back you up. You don’t have to know everything, you just need to know where to find the answers.” If it is too hard, they won’t do it. Always take someone from your downline to your meetings. This is the best way to train your new people about how to set up and run their own meetings.

“Network marketing is not easy money, but it does come. You have to stay with it for at least five years. I am doing this to have my husband work at home with me and be there while our children grow up. This is a family thing. I volunteer 70 hours a month teaching the Bible. This business gives me the time to do the things I want to do with my life.”
